		<description>Even with the plunging USD, 1000USD should get you at least close to 100,000 JPY. And I'd be surprised if that lasted you the entire first month, let alone the first couple. Might be able to stretch it if you live with a host family or something. But throw in an apartment rental and you're looking at 3 times that for the first couple months, even in Aomori.</description>
